Getting started
Pair a phone, tablet, computer or browser
Connect any device to your hub with a QR code, a pairing link or a 6-digit code, and revoke devices you no longer use.
Updated 17 October 2026
Glimpo has no cloud account to sign in to. Each device pairs directly with your hub, and you can see and revoke every paired device.
Ways to pair
- QR code or link. On a device that is already paired, open Settings → Pair another device. Scan the QR code with the new device, or open the link on it.
- Address and code. In the app, enter the hub’s address (for example
http://192.168.1.20:7700) and the 6-digit pairing code. The code is shown in Settings → Pair another device on a paired device. On a brand-new Raspberry Pi or Docker hub, the installer and the hub’s log print it. - The web app. The hub serves the Glimpo web app itself. Open the hub’s address in a browser on your home network and pair the same way. You can install it as an app from the browser.
How pairing stays safe
- A pairing code is single-use and rotates every 10 minutes.
- Five wrong codes lock pairing for 15 minutes, and the code rotates.
- Each device gets its own token. Only a hash of it is stored on the hub.
See and revoke devices
Open Settings → Privacy & security → Sessions. Every phone, browser and watch is listed on its own. Revoke one and it is signed out immediately, without affecting the others.
When the watch apps arrive (coming soon), watches will pair automatically through your phone and appear as their own session. See Watch apps.
Pairing away from home
Pairing needs to reach the hub. Pair while you’re on the same network as the hub, or through Tailscale if you use it. See Remote access.
